Home is refuge, and art glass adds the most elegant finishing touch to an interior space. Whether in a series of transoms, a dramatic entrance ensemble of door and sidelites, or interior art between rooms, stained glass shimmers with beauty. Interior design professionals often coordinate the furniture and "finishes", (kitchen cabinets, floors, wall colors, furniture, etc.) with us during the building process and can contact the Glass Roots Studio directly, but many homeowners are inspired to add glass long after the house is built for additions and remodelling projects, (baths, kitchen cupboard doors, entries). Before purchasing new window units with a contractor, it is advised to plan the placement and installation to be sure that the new window's wood moulding will accept the art glass. Stained glass can be added over thermo-paned factory inserts, or be sandwiched into it's own thermo-paned units for a watertight fit. Small 5/8 inch quarter-round wood moulding can be used to hold an art glass panel over an existing window pane.
